Random Wednesdays

This Random Wednesday I'd like to start with some random questions to myself and my readers (so please answer in your comment).

1. What was the last song you listened to last night?

Ummm... "Today was a Fairy Tale" by Taylor Swift. I only know this because it was still playing when I got back into the car this morning.

2.What color is the top you are wearing today?

I'm wearing a turquoise dress today.

3.Would you rather be a dove or eagle?

That's a toughy because a dove is gentle and pure but an eagle is strong... A dove!

4.What is your favorite saying?

"Tomorrow is history and it's never coming back"

5.What is your best friend’s name?

I'd have to say Jenny, Matt and Coy... Oh! And my Mom. I love that woman.

6.When you are sure no one is watching what do you do?

clean my nose ring... gross, I know.

7.If you were to produce movie about yourself, which actor or actress would you cast as you?

Reese Witherspoon and James McAvoy would play Coy because I love them both sooo much.

8.Who did you hug last?

Coy

9.What color is your car?

Black

I'm so ready for a vacation. We leave for Vegas in like 2 months and I can hardly wait. That entire Thanksgiving week my morning job is closed so I don't even have to come in. Then, my night job I'll most likely work Sunday-Tuesday but on Wednesday I leave for the rest of the week. OMG! I can't wait... Does anyone else know what they are doing for Thanksgiving?

Comment with your answers please!!

xoxo,

Kris

Pumpkins, Scarecrows, and Engagement Parties.

Hello My Lovely Readers,

I don’t even know where to start today, because so much happened over the weekend. The temperatures have gone down and everyone is pulling out their pumpkins and scarecrows. I love Fall!... As a young'n, I always loved summers by the pool, getting a tan and vacationing while school was out. Now that I'm older I can hardly wait for fall. The leaves begin to fall and so does the temperatures. Fall Clothing is my absolute fave! I get to pull out my favorite brown boots and sweaters. OMG! I'm so excited!

Me and Rocky last Fall.

I also love Halloween and of course, Thanksgiving!

I absolutely love this time of year! Another thing I've been excited about is my Engagement Party which was this past Sunday.

We had a blast. We have such great friends and family. I am so grateful for everything... More pictures are to come. I'm just too lazy to get them up on the computer (I stole the ones on here from my friend, Emily). Not only am I grateful for the wonderful friends and family God has given me but also the man he has put into my life. Coy is seriously, one of the best things in my life. I honestly feel so blessed sometimes that I'm afraid it is too good to be true. I have a home, great jobs, two healthy doggies, excellent friends and family members who support me and the man of my dreams to share all of it with. So, Thank you, Coy! Thank you, Readers! You make me feel so special.

X's & O's,

-Kris-

Random Wednesdays

There are so many random things to talk about. Where do I even start?

  • I have added a new follower! Thank you! I hope I don't let you down.
  • I have more people who read my blog via facebook then those who have actually joined.
  • When I find out someone has read my blog I feel so touched.
  • I am wicked excited about my Engagement party this Sunday. We had 45 people RSVP.
  • I ran out of contacts and have to wear my glasses for the next 2 days.
  • I have ran 3xs a week for 5 weeks in a row. On top of that, I have been exercising at least one or two other days each week and still have not lost ANY weight. So, I've decided to step it up and run further, faster and nearly kill myself each time (You are so welcome, body). Also, I'm aiming to workout everyday, no excuses.
  • I've been wanting to lose weight ever since I gained those awful 5lbs, but nothing inspired me more than I'm getting married, I like that dress, so I'm going to aim to get in it. The lady at the dress shop said "We can alter the dress to fit you" and I said "No, I'd much rather fit the dress then it fit me".
  • Also, I plan to run the Tulsa Run at the end of October!
Coy, Me, Jenny (my sister) and Matt (Jenny's boyfriend) after I ran the Cinco De Mayo Run.

X's & O's,

First let me introduce my newest blog: FOODIES ANONYMOUS.

http://foodiesanonymous-kris.blogspot.com/2010/09/welcome-to-foodies-anonymous.html

I love trying new things, going out to eat and enjoying the great food God has put on this earth for me. So, after several suggestions from people I decided they had a good idea... I should write a blog about FOOD! No worries, readers I'll still be writing on here about Coy's and My adventure through Med School, our upcoming wedding and all the things in between.
Speaking of our upcoming wedding... This Sunday is our engagement party and as of right now we have 40 guests. 40 guests to feed. 40 guests to entertain. 40 guests to look cute for. So, after all my searching... today it just came to me. This is the look I'm going for:Second to the end, top row. The green skirt, white top. Adorable! Sorry it isn't bigger!... I love this site and wish I could buy everything off of it, but that's only a dream of mine. What do you think? Comments please!

Random Wednesday

So, I’ve been thinking… I have all these random things that go through my head and it’s hard for me to always write in complete sentences for an entire post so with motivation from fellow bloggers I’ve decided to create… RANDOM WEDNESDAYS!.. Happy Things. Sad Things. Irritating Things. Random Things. All in one Place!... Ready. Set. Go.
  • I love sleep. I love it so much that I am late for work 4 out of 5 mornings. Glad they are laid back here.
  • My new favorite drink at Stary-bucks is caramel macchiato. I get it in a Grande, with 1.5 pumps of vanilla and 1.5 pumps of hazelnut, non-fat milk and non-fat doesn’t mean hold the caramel drizzle. I like that.
  • I hate when I comment on someone’s blog with a question and they don’t answer. It makes me want to say “fine, I won’t follow you anymore”.
  • I feel like I am no longer “up with fashion”, because I can no longer shop for the latest trends. I feel so boring now.
  • I snapped at one my employees last night. I sarcastically told her she was “a delight to work with”. Not good behavior for a manager, but she has continually given me attitude. BUT that is far from an excuse for my behavior. Don’t worry, I will be telling her sorry when we work together again.

Med School is hard… Coy studies non-stop and even though I see him every night I just feel like we don’t actually have any quality time together. Good news though: He has gotten above a 70% on all his tests and stuff, but it’s honestly because Med School is his life. We have made it through ¼ of the semester and knowing we have a date night each week is what keeps me going. Also, I get to look forward to us going out of town for a few days in November. I keep trying to reach out to spouses going through the same thing but for example, I joined the SAA (this group for Med Students and their Spouses) and Coy and I have not been able to attend any events due to the fact that I work almost every night. I will admit though, me working at night makes it easier on Coy because he doesn’t have me as a distraction.

On a more positive note, I went wedding dress shopping over the weekend and I’ve narrowed it down to two dresses. I have a fitting on Oct.9, so I have to make my final decision before then.

Just to give everyone a glimpse into what is going through my head!

That's it for now!! I think I'm going to start Random Wednesdays, tomorrow! You will see what I mean...

xoxo,

-Kris-

It's official...

We are getting married on May 28, 2011 at MGM...

We sent the contract last week, signed and all official. We chose The Spa Wall.. Well, I chose it and Coy agreed.

We will fly out the morning of Friday, May 27 and get our marriage license and then have the rest of the day to hang out and take care of any final details. Then, Saturday morning I plan to sleep in (even though, I'll probably be too excited), have brunch in the room, get ready there and the wedding will take place at 2 with a small reception that will follow. Only family is invited, but no worries we will have a reception here in Tulsa when we get back from our honeymoon... MGM will not only take care of my venue, but also my flowers, pastor, music, etc. It's such a relief! Now I just want the day to actually get here. I can HARDLY wait!
